When you hear of Christmas, it probably reminds you of a lot of things.

Does it remind you of Santa Claus or perhaps the gifts he brings?

Does it remind you of golden brown home baked cookies and a glass of milk?

To most people especially children, Christmas is that time of the year when Santa Claus comes plopping down the chimney, with gifts for everyone.

But no! The very essence of Christmas is the Birth of Christ Jesus our Savior. It’s high time we taught our kids the real meaning of Christmas. We can’t afford to let trivial unrealistic myths take the place of our Lord’s birth.I’m not saying you shouldn’t celebrate Christmas. I’m just saying we should know what and why we’re celebrating. Do you get what I’m saying?

More than 50% of the world’s population celebrates Christmas without even knowing the original essence of it. Our kids should know, even as we shower them with gifts, that Christmas is literally the Birthday of Christ Jesus.  The story about the Birth of Jesus is in the chapters of Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2 of the Holy Bible.

You ask, “Who’s Christ Jesus?”

Here’s what scriptures say;

Isaiah 9:6 – For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

2. John 1:29 – Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

Why is Santa stealing our Christmas?

The devil is trying to replace the story of Jesus with baseless myths such as that of Santa Claus. So in the end, we’re celebrating Santa more than Jesus. He’s competing for God’s glory! And that’s unacceptable.

It’s time we brought back the Christ in Christmas. Celebrate this Christmas with the essence of it in mind.

Merry Christmas 🎄☃️
