Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 TPT
This bible passage says when we come to Christ we are a new creation, God let’s go of our past nature and gives us a new nature in Christ. He says the sins we have committed he no longer sees it but He has given us a Christ like nature, a chance to start afresh with him.
One might ask how do we come to Christ to get this new nature the bible says
And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation.
Romans 10:9 TPT
The principle the bible has given us is that you must declare it with mouth, this is publicly acknowledging Jesus but God does not stop there he says we must believe in our hearts also that is how we can earn salvation. God has made it so simple for us to come to him and he requires that we only believe. One of the Great Men of God Smith Wigglesworth said that
“I saw God want us so badly that he made the condition simple as possible only believe.”
When we accept Jesus Christ then we can get this new nature the bible talks about in 2 Corinthians 5:17.
The year has started again and some might not have done last year with Jesus, but God is asking us to start this year with him. He wants us to take Jesus Christ as the Lord of our lives, we do not know what this year has for us but the bible says
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
God knows the beginning from the end, he knows everything that will happen this year the good the bad and the ugly so starting with God is the safest place to be.
